Introduction
You have just been hired by the biggest movie production company as their
poster designer. Your job is to design posters for the new Summer "Block
Buster" movie. When designing a poster you need to keep in mind all the
important elements. The poster needs to flow and have balance. You also need
to remember that a poster tells people who is in the movie, the title, the
opening date along with any other important information. All this needs to be
done without cluttering the poster. Since the company you work for is very big
in the movie industry they expect the best from their employees so you have to
put forth your best effort because there are a lot of people who want your job.
Task
You have just been hired as a movie
poster designer for a big production company. You need to design a poster for
the big up and coming Summer "Block Buster". You will pick the genre of the
movie. Your poster will need to be eye catching but informative at the same
time so that you will attract millions of people to the opening night of the
movie.
You will begin by researching movie posters, both on line and by looking at
actual movie posters. You will also look up elements of design and learn how to
make a poster that flows well and is not cluttered or unbalanced. You will
write a short reflection saying why and how posters are important to the movie
industry and what makes a good poster design.
