Introduction
Lucky you! Your long lost rich uncle has died (too bad for him) and left you $2500.00! Good old Uncle Ferdinand! But as you will see from the excerpt from his will bellow, good old uncle Ferdinand was a bit of a control freak even in death he is controlling what you are doing with his money. Uncle Ferdinand wants you to use the skills you have developed in class to do some research, gather information and present your findings.

Task
To my dear nieces and nephews who have always referred to me as "good old Uncle Ferdinand" I hereby bequeath $2,500.00. Being of sound mind and body at the time of this recording  I will require the following use of the inheritance. Each recipient must build a computer from component parts, (no Dell or Gateway pre- made systems). Because I came by my ill-gotten wealth with Microsoft stock, each computer must be a PC, (sorry apple lovers). There will be no cash awarded for building a cheap computer so use all $2,500.00 and there will be absolutely no going over budget. My hope is that each one of you will build a "rockin" system and will think lovingly of good old uncle Ferdinand every time you use it!

Things to think about:

The Process
Since you obviously did not really inherit $2500.00 what you will need to do with your researched information is make a list of all of the parts you will use. The prices will need to be included on your parts list. You will create a PowerPoint presentation with pictures and prices of the computer its parts that you will purchase.  Be sure to place a price list slide as your last slide.   One of your goals is to use as much of the $2,500.00 inheritance as possible.
The following list will help you with your project.

Resources
Here are some web sites you can use to build your computer, you may use others that you find yourself as long as they fit the schools acceptable use policy. I suggest you spend some time exploring before you start to "buy" and "assemble" your computer.
